Buy Minecraft accounts at great deals at U7BUY! Wolves are an adorable mob in Minecraft that sound just like dogs with their cute barking. While wolves are often admired for said cute looks and sounds, they are also iconic for being tamable and loyal to the player. They can aid the player in battle and become a great traveling friend. It is just a matter of finding one and taming it.
Wolves can spawn in multiple different biomes with many of them sharing the same trait of being in the cold. Wolves most commonly spawn in snowy biomes such as groves, snowy taigas, old-growth pine taigas, and old-growth spruce taigas. They also have a chance of being found in regular taigas and forests across your worlds, but not as common.
Just like in real life, wolves in Minecraft tend to spawn in packs of 4, although they will sometimes be found in smaller packs or even independently. Some packs can even be found with wolf pups that can also be tamed! Wolves will not run away or interact with the player when seen, but they will immediately become hostile when attacked.
To tame a wild wolf, you must use a food item that they like to eat. Luckily there are plenty of different foods that you can use. You can feed a wolf any type of cooked or uncooked meats like beef, chicken, or pork. However, you can also feed it other unique items such as fish, rabbit stew, bones, or even rotten flesh!
Once you have any one of these items in your inventory, simply walk up to an untamed wolf and right-click to feed it. Sometimes it’s not this easy though. Some wolves will require you to feed it multiple times to be tamed. This can be told through whether hearts appear over them when fed. Keep giving more food until they appear.
Once the hearts do appear and a red collar appears on the wolf’s neck, then you have successfully tamed a wolf! Now, the wolf will follow or teleport toward you when standing. When right-clicked on, the wolf can also be commanded to sit on its current spot and will always stay there. Tamed wolves can also be given nametags and even have their collars change colors when dyed!
When taking your wolf out with you, anything you attack will also be attacked by your loyal companion. Be careful though, as tamed wolves can still take damage. Their health can be determined by their tail. The lower their tail is held, the lower their health. To refill it, simply feed it any of the food items used to tame it. Keep in mind that you can have multiple wolves at once too, so feel free to travel the world and build your wolf pack! Buy your Minecoins gift card at U7BUY!
